A Great Event

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010 - The Residential Real Estate Trade Show, Showcase 2010, came and went with a sold out exhibit hall and droves of attendees enjoying the myriad of activities offered by exhibitors, the Atlanta Board of REALTORS® and FMLS. Exhibitors networked with an estimated 3,500 people in attendance. Organizers built momemtum days before the event using traditional and social media marketing, in particular a Twitter blog - #Showcase2010. Through this exhibitors were able to promote their booth, games, and door prize give-a-ways, something new for Showcase 2010.
By all accounts, exhibitors found Showcase 2010 to be an overwhelming success. So much so, that within 24-hrs. of its ending vendors are already pre-registering for the 2011 Trade Show, taking advantage of the early renewal discounts.
One vendor, Selfdefense ATL, had this to say, "We truly enjoyed being part of the show. Our sales were up 36% this year over last. You all do a great job putting it on. Its easy to set up and load out! Outstanding job on your end and we will be sending you an early registration form for next year. Till then have a great day!"
Attendees had the option of listening in on any of the 16 educational sessions offered at the FMLS, Professional Development, and Technology theatres. Often times they found standing room only or they sat on the floor in the aisles, evidence of the strong programs organized for the event.
Fellow Realtor® and U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson conducted one standing room only session. In summary, he stated that Realtors® need to Get Involved and that the altitude of the industry will be determined by the attitude of the industry.
It is said, "Success doesn't come easy." So it is with a great deal of thanks to a dedicated leadership, an outstanding committee and the hard working staffs of both the Atlanta Board of REALTORS® and First Multiple Listing Service, that the success of Showcase 2010 sure did look easy.
Also, thank you to everyone who helped a deserving family through Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, just by participating in an outstanding Showcase 2010.
We'll see you next year at Showcase 2011.
